What does ‘multimedia’ mean? |
Multimedia is to use more than one medium of expression or communication. In our case, we use a mixture of three mediums: live music, spoken word, and a visual component which involves a projector, a screen, and a video artist who ‘mixes’ live a variety of iconic and modern images, animation and film.
|
That sounds complicated to set up and break down- is it? |
No. Today most concert halls and even churches have a multimedia component. If a projector or screen is unavailable, we are fully self-contained and can bring the whole system with us, and have lots of experience in many different venue situations to make it work beautifully. If we travel to you by plane, all we would need is a small PA system and screen, which can be rented locally.
|
Besides a projector and a screen, what else do your shows with multimedia require? |
We always ask for stands and orchestra stand lights. But we can bring our own. We also usually need chairs, but that has yet to be a problem.

Why early music with science? |
During the periods of history we explore with our Perpetual Motion shows, music was considered a special branch of mathematics. Through telling the story of the history of science, we are shown its interconnected relationship with the arts and how the two disciplines helped shape how we think about our world and the universe.

What is a semi-breve? |
